  2. Go to the Index page near the beginning of the PDF, or tap the Index tab if the product has one.
  3. Tap a linked section, month, week, template area, or notebook divider from the Index. On iPad or iPhone, a normal tap should follow the link.
  4. If tapping writes or selects something instead, long-press the Index link and choose Open Link, or switch to Read-Only mode and tap again.
  5. Tap the Bookmark icon on the Index page so it appears in Favorites.
  6. Use Thumbnail View when you want a visual page grid, but use Index when you want the product map.

How the Index helps in GoodNotes

Index is the page you return to when the planner feels big. Use it before scrolling through hundreds of pages. It is especially helpful for Yume Techo, Yume Noto, and any product with many sections, templates, months, weeks, or notebook dividers.

GoodNotes Index setup

  1. Bookmark Index first. It becomes your return point in Favorites.
  2. Test the main sections. Tap a monthly link, a template link, and one notebook or notes section.
  3. Bookmark only active pages. Save the current month, current week, and copied template pages you actually use.

If the Index feels confusing

Use Index for navigation, not for storing every custom page you create. When you copy a template page, the original Index link may still go to the clean template section. Use Favorites or Thumbnail View for your copied working pages.
