How to manage pages in GoodNotes

Use page management tools in GoodNotes without breaking your planner setup.

Use these steps to work with NozomuNoto PDF planners, notebooks, stickers, covers, and template pages in GoodNotes. The official links below are for downloads, updates, and current help pages.

Before you start

  • Make page changes on a working copy, then test links before writing a lot.
  • If the file is a ZIP, extract it before importing the PDF, PNG sticker, cover, or other app-supported file.
  • After the first step, test one Index link, one writing mark, and one page action before setting up the whole planner.

Safe GoodNotes page management

1. Duplicate templates before writing

For NozomuNoto template pages, duplicate or copy the clean template first. Write on the duplicate so the original page stays reusable.

2. Move copied pages, not important linked originals

Moving a copied notes page is usually fine. Moving core linked pages, such as Index, Monthly, Weekly, or dated pages, can make the planner harder to navigate. If you want to experiment, do it on a copied planner file.

3. Test links after page changes

After copying, moving, deleting, or inserting pages, test Index and a few tabs. If anything jumps somewhere unexpected, stop editing that copy and return to a clean backup.

Common page-management problems

1. The copied page is hard to find

What happens: the template copy exists, but the original template button still goes to the clean template section.

What to do: bookmark the copied page or add it to the outline if GoodNotes gives you that option.

2. Too many page copies pile up

What happens: every idea gets its own copied page and the planner becomes hard to scan.

What to do: keep only active copied pages in Favorites and delete/archive test pages from your working copy after you know you do not need them.
