Before you start

  • Test a fresh copy first so the problem is not caused by an edited, flattened, or exported file.
  • If the file is a ZIP, extract it before importing the PDF, PNG sticker, cover, or other app-supported file.
  • After the first step, test one Index link, one writing mark, and one page action before setting up the whole planner.

Before asking for help

  1. Test a fresh import. Import the original PDF again without page moves or exports.
  2. Test the same link in Apple Files. This separates file-link problems from Notability mode problems.
  3. Write down the exact product and app version. Include product name, year, orientation, week start, color, device, iPadOS/iOS version, and Notability version.
  4. Send a short screen recording if possible. Show the exact step where the problem happens.

Common Notability fixes

1. Use the hand tool for links

The most common planner-link problem is using a writing tool when you meant to navigate.

2. Use Content Manager for pages

Content Manager is where thumbnails, bookmarks, movement, copy, duplicate, and page actions live.

3. Keep a clean backup

If the working note gets messy, re-import the original NozomuNoto PDF and move only the pages or notes you still need.
