Boox planner setup basics

Basic setup notes for using PDF planners on Boox devices.

Boox devices can work well with PDF planners, especially when the planner is used as a PDF document in NeoReader. Template behavior can be different from normal PDF reading behavior.

Basic setup

  1. Transfer the PDF to your Boox device. Use your preferred Boox transfer method, cloud storage, USB, or send option.
  2. Open the PDF in NeoReader. NeoReader is the usual place to read and annotate PDFs on Boox.
  3. Test hyperlinks. Tap planner tabs or index links and confirm the document jumps to the expected page.
  4. Test handwriting. Write on a blank area, close the file, then reopen it to confirm the notes remain.
  5. Export a test page. Export a marked page and check the result before using the planner for important notes.

Important note about templates

Using a PDF as a note template may not preserve every planner navigation feature. If hyperlinks matter, test the file as a normal PDF document first.
