Kindle Scribe planner setup basics

Send the PDF to Kindle and check writing behavior before relying on a planner workflow.

Kindle Scribe can read PDFs and supports writing features for compatible personal documents. The exact writing behavior depends on how the PDF is sent and how Amazon processes it.

Basic setup

  1. Send the PDF with Send to Kindle. Use Amazon’s Send to Kindle workflow for the most consistent personal document behavior.
  2. Download it on the Kindle Scribe. Open your library on the Scribe and download the file.
  3. Check writing tools. Confirm whether you can write directly on the page or use notes.
  4. Test navigation. Tap planner links or use the document navigation available on the device.
  5. Export a sample. Send or export a marked page to confirm the result looks correct.

Before choosing Kindle Scribe as your main planner

Kindle Scribe is useful for focused writing and reading, but it does not behave like an iPad note-taking app. Test your preferred workflow before moving all planning into it.
