If links fail to move
If tapping a tab, date, Index item, or button writes on the page instead of moving, the planner is usually okay. Notability is probably using a writing tool instead of the hand tool.
- Open the imported NozomuNoto PDF note in Notability.
- Choose the hand tool in the Toolbox to navigate through the note.
- Try tapping the link with your finger instead of Apple Pencil.
- Test one obvious link from the Index page.
- Make sure the PDF is imported into Notability rather than only open in Files, Safari, Google Drive, or a preview screen.
- If links still fail, import a fresh clean copy of the PDF and test again before setting up the planner.
Tap planner links in Notability
- Open the imported NozomuNoto PDF note.
- In the Toolbox, choose the hand tool to navigate instead of writing.
- Tap a planner tab, Index item, month, week, or linked button with your finger.
- When you want to write again, choose the Pen, Pencil, Highlighter, or another editing tool from the Toolbox.
- If a link fails after using the hand tool, make sure the PDF is imported into Notability, then test the same link in Apple Files or another PDF viewer.
- If links still fail, import a fresh clean copy of the original NozomuNoto PDF and test again before setting up the planner.
Notability link checks
1. Use the hand tool for navigation
The hand tool is the important Notability control for moving through a PDF planner. Writing tools are for ink; the hand tool is for navigation.
2. Test links before decorating
Tap one Index link, one monthly tab, and one dated or section link before adding handwriting, stickers, or copied pages.
3. Compare with Apple Files if links fail
If the same link works in Apple Files, the NozomuNoto PDF is okay and the issue is likely the current Notability mode or an edited copy.
4. Check import state and file choice
Use the imported planner note in Notability, not a preview in Files, Safari, or Google Drive. If the wrong file was imported, return to the original download, extract the ZIP if needed, and import the actual planner or notebook PDF again.
If links still feel unreliable
Re-import the clean original PDF and test it before moving pages. If a fresh copy fails in Notability and another PDF viewer, contact NozomuNoto with the product name, device, app version, and exact link you tested.
