Before moving pages
Save a clean backup of your planner or notebook before changing pages in Notability.
- Index pages
- Template source pages
- Main section pages
- Tutorial pages
- Pages with important links
- Filled pages you already wrote on
Safe workflow: copy or duplicate the page first, move or edit the copy, keep the original page clean when possible, keep important linked pages in place, and keep one original file saved outside Notability as your backup.
Manage pages in Notability

Safe Notability page management
1. Copy before big page changes
Use Content Manager to copy or duplicate a clean NozomuNoto template page, important planner page, or test page before writing, moving, or deleting. Move or edit the copy first whenever you are experimenting.
2. Be careful with linked planner pages
Moving core pages such as Index, dated monthly pages, weekly pages, or linked sections can make navigation harder. Make big experiments in a copied note.
3. Test navigation after page changes
After adding, cutting, copying, duplicating, deleting, or moving pages, return to Index and test a few main links before writing more.
4. Keep important pages until you are sure
If a page has product navigation, a tutorial, a clean template source, or notes you need, keep it in place until your copied workflow is tested.
If page actions get confusing
Keep the original NozomuNoto PDF outside Notability. If a working note becomes messy, re-import a fresh planner copy and move only the notes or copied pages you still need.
