Choose your problem first
If something is not working in Notability, start with the issue that matches what you see.
- Links fail to move: choose the hand tool, then test one Index link.
- The planner imported incorrectly: import the actual planner or notebook PDF, not the ZIP, receipt, preview page, or instruction-only PDF.
- Imported content is missing: compare the PDF in Apple Files, then re-import a fresh copy into Notability.
- Stickers look blurry: insert the original PNG again and keep it closer to its original size.
- Pages feel hard to manage: use Content Manager carefully and keep a clean backup before deleting or moving pages.
- The file feels slow: close other apps, check storage, update Notability if needed, and test with a clean copy.
- You need more help: send your product name, device, Notability version if known, exact issue, and a screenshot or short screen recording.
Notability known problems with NozomuNoto planners
- If the PDF import fails, confirm the ZIP is extracted and import the actual PDF from Notability Library with + New held down, then Import.
- If links fail to move, choose the hand tool from the Toolbox and test one Index link again.
- If imported file content is missing, compare the PDF in Apple Files before editing the Notability copy.
- If copied template pages are hard to find, bookmark the copied page or move it near the section where you use it.
- If a sticker looks blurry, insert the original PNG again and keep it close to its original size.
- If the note feels slow, close extra apps, check device storage, update Notability if needed, and test a fresh imported copy.
Common Notability fixes
1. Links fail to move
The most common planner-link problem is using a writing tool when you meant to navigate. Choose the hand tool, then test one Index link.
2. The wrong file was imported
Import the actual NozomuNoto planner or notebook PDF. Skip the ZIP, receipt, preview page, and instruction-only PDF for the planner import.
3. Stickers look blurry
Digital stickers are image files. Use the original PNG and keep it close to its original size.
4. Page tools feel risky
Use Content Manager for thumbnails, bookmarks, page movement, copy, duplicate, and page actions. Keep a clean backup before deleting or moving important pages.
5. The note feels slow
Large images, many stickers, low storage, or an older app version can make a working note feel slower. Test a clean copy before changing many pages.
Before asking for help
- Test a fresh import. Import the original PDF again before page moves, cover changes, or exports.
- Test the same link in Apple Files. This separates file-link issues from Notability mode issues.
- Write down the exact product and app version. Include product name, year, orientation, week start, color, device, iPadOS/iOS version, and Notability version.
- Send a short screen recording if possible. Show the exact step where the issue happens.
