How to use planner hyperlinks in other e-reader devices

Use built-in PDF links, tabs, and buttons in other e-reader devices.

On this page
  1. Before you start
  2. Reference links
  3. Use links and navigation on an e-reader
  4. E-reader navigation note
  5. E-reader limits and help details

Use these steps to work with NozomuNoto PDF planners and notebooks on other e-reader devices. E-readers are best for calm writing, reading, bookmarks, page review, and light annotation, so this guide keeps the setup simple and points out where a tablet app may still be better.

Before you start

  • Open the original PDF and test links before decorating, duplicating, or exporting pages.
  • If the product arrives in a ZIP, extract it first, then transfer the PDF file your e-reader can open.
  • After the first step, test one Index link, one writing mark, and one page action before setting up the whole planner.

Use these for current app or device help, downloads, updates, vendor support, and manual references.

  1. Open the original imported PDF planner or notebook on other e-reader devices.
  2. Go to the NozomuNoto Index, a monthly tab, a section tab, or another printed planner link.

NozomuNoto Index pageIf your e-reader does not follow PDF links like a tablet app, use the printed Index page with page numbers, contents, bookmarks, or page overview.
  3. Check three things before relying on the planner: the PDF opens, writing or annotations save after reopening, and you have a return path using the printed Index, page numbers, contents, bookmarks, folders, or page overview documented for that device.
  4. If a tap writes on the page instead of moving, leave writing mode and switch to the reader, view, hand, navigation, or page-browsing tool your device provides.
  5. Use the return path named in this device guide, such as contents, bookmarks, page overview, folders, page numbers, and the NozomuNoto Index page.

E-reader navigation note

E-readers do not all handle PDF links the same way. The planner can still work as a written PDF planner when the return path is clear: printed Index, page numbers, contents, bookmarks, page overview, folders, and clear file names.
