Use the index as your home base

The Index page is the NozomuNoto planner map inside the PDF. It is not a Noteshelf-only feature. Use it to jump to important planner sections without scrolling through many pages.

  1. Open your NozomuNoto planner or notebook in Noteshelf.
  2. Go to the Index page.
  3. Turn on Read-Only Mode so links move instead of turning into writing.
  4. Tap one section name, month, template, note area, or button.
  5. Check that Noteshelf moves to the right page.
  6. Return to the Index page whenever you feel lost.

If tapping writes on the page, Noteshelf is probably still in Edit mode. Turn on Read-Only Mode and try again.

Index vs Pages view

Use the NozomuNoto Index when you already know the section you want. Use Noteshelf Pages or Finder view when you want thumbnails, bookmarks, duplicate, copy, move, share, trash, or other page tools.

Good first return points

  1. Index: the main planner map.
  2. Current month: fixed dates, bills, appointments, and deadlines.
  3. Current week: the page that holds this week.
  4. Notes or Today: one simple place for overflow or action.

If tapping Index writes on the page

Noteshelf is probably still in Edit mode. Turn on Read-Only Mode, then test one clear Index link again with your finger.

If the Index feels overwhelming

Use one path only: Index to Monthly, Monthly to this week, and this week to today or Notes. Leave optional sections alone until they solve a real problem.
