Can I use my NozomuNoto planner offline?

Applies to: Downloaded PDF planners & notebooks · An app with the required offline features · Exact app/platform dependent.

Files: Downloaded/preloaded PDF. Check the entire document offline; cloud previews and online tools may need a connection.

Often, yes, once the PDF is downloaded and your app has made the pages available offline. Your app decides which tools work without a connection, so please test the file before you need it away from Wi-Fi.

A cloud preview or a visible file name does not prove every page is stored on your device.

Prepare the planner while you are online

  1. Download the finished product file. Complete any Library or Builder steps first. If the download is a ZIP, extract it and find the actual planner or notebook PDF.
  2. Open the PDF in your chosen app. Give the app time to load the pages. Download any PNG stickers or cover images you want to use too.
  3. Check the app's offline instructions. Look for whether it keeps local files, preloads recent documents, or needs a connection for specific tools.

Do one offline test

  1. If your app uses an account, stay signed in. Then temporarily turn off Wi-Fi and any mobile data connection.
  2. Open the planner and the pages you will need. Test an Index link or tab if your app uses PDF links offline.
  3. Write a small test note. Close and reopen the document to check that it is still there.
  4. Reconnect afterwards and check any sync or backup status before changing devices.

If pages are missing, grey, or still loading, reconnect and let the document finish downloading. Repeat the test before relying on that file offline.

What may still need internet?

Downloads, Library or Builder access, cloud sync, online app features, and links to websites or videos may need a connection. Built-in links between PDF pages are different from links that open a website.

The app and platform matter. Goodnotes' Android, Windows, and web guide explains document preloading and lists actions that are unavailable offline, including export. Do not assume an iPad workflow applies to those platforms.

Notability's Cloud FAQ also explains offline editing and syncing after reconnecting. Use the current guide for the app and platform you actually have.

If you need help

Send me the product name, app, device, and the exact page or action that fails offline. Tell me whether it works again after reconnecting. Please keep any existing notes while we check it.

Still need help?

Send your order number, product name, device, app, and a screenshot or short screen recording if the issue is visual.
